Umberto Tinelli commenced his hospitality career in 1985 when he opened his first restaurant Tinelli’s in the Orchard Village on Wellington Street, Perth. Tinelli’s paved the way for Italian fine dining restaurants in the years to follow. After Tinelli’s Umberto moved to West Perth where he opened Chianti on Colins. In 1993 Umberto opened Campo Di Fiori, a multiple award winning fine dining restaurant located in Applecross. By early 2000 he returned to West Perth and opened Il Principe a modern fine dining Italian restaurant. Finally in 2004 he settled in Nedlands and after an extensive refurbishment of the venue, Umberto and family opened the doors to Jo Jo’s Café and Acqua Viva on the Swan in 2005. Umberto is a veteran of the WA Hospitality Industry who prides himself on impeccable service and quality food.
